Terms
The agreement between you and Lazy Matchmaker, in plain words. Version 2026-10-12.
A draft. It describes what the site does today, and it has to be reviewed by a lawyer before the site opens to the public.
What this is
A service that introduces adults to each other, one compatible introduction at a time and at most three a week, as each member chooses, once matching opens in their city. It is free during the alpha; future pricing has not been decided. Any paid options will be explained before you choose to use them. The matchmaker you talk to is an AI.
An introduction is a suggestion to talk, nothing more. We do not screen members’ backgrounds, we cannot verify what people say about themselves, and we make no promise that any introduction will suit you. Nobody can predict whether two people will get along, and we do not claim to.
Who may use it
You must be 18 or older, be who you say you are, and have one account.
Use it to look for a relationship for yourself. Not to sell, recruit, advertise, collect data, or ask anyone for money.
The rules of the week
When you are introduced to someone, answer within the time shown: say hello or pass. Passing is always allowed and never counts against you.
Leaving an introduction unanswered, or going silent on someone who is waiting for a reply, counts: a first time brings a warning, a second within two months pauses your introductions for two weeks, and a third stops them.
You can freeze your account at any time, with no penalty, and delete it at any time.
How to treat people
With respect. No harassment, threats, hate, sexual content sent to someone who did not ask for it, or pressure of any kind.
We may close an account that breaks these terms or puts other members at risk, and we read every report.
Your safety is yours to look after
You are responsible for your own decisions about whom to meet and how. Read the page on staying safe before a first date.
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided as it is, without warranties, and our liability is limited.
Who you agree with, and changes
Lazy Matchmaker is run by YLabs, and these terms are between you and YLabs. They are governed by the law that applies to you, and nothing in them takes away a right you have under the law where you live.
If something goes wrong, write to hello@lazymatchmaker.com first, and we will try to put it right.
These terms will change as the service does. The current version is always on this page.
